It has a removable, padded shoulder strap and a retaining strap that extends around the bag for extra support.

Boy is this a nice bag! It is exactly 24 inches long and will hold a 24" level but it"s so sturdy that I could fill it up with steel bars and it would still hold up. I appreciate the fine craftsmanship so much that I hand rubbed leather conditioner on it and it really made it pop. Just like a thick leather jacket, it just keeps getting better with age. The straps encircle the entire bag so theres no danger of them tearing away and they will support as much as you can put in the bag. The handle is a double strap so it won't tear. Each strap is riveted 6 times and the bottom has 6 brass feet. When you first get it, you'll notice it's very stiff and a little lighter than the picture, but it starts getting softer and darker in color as it ages. After about two months of abuse, anyone who sees it wants it. The inside is raw leather with a heavy canvas floor. I just can't say enough about it except that because I had Amazon points, I only paid about $80 dollars for it and having used it for a while now I believe it's worth every penny of the full price. This thing will last you an entire career.Good quality, unit is as described.durable products would great price leather bagwas very pleased with this bag initially but soon discovered that one of the straps was wrinkling and stretching prematurely. this is clearly a manufacturer screw up and a pity given the price.4/18 update: despite my poor review earlier, this tool bag/companion has held up very well to my abuse. it accompanys me me on every call and holds a lot of tools. It is something i might even pass on to the grand kids assuming one of them blooms into a mechanic. all in all money well spent. my thanks and respect to the maker.Very heavy duty. I have a 24 inch that had 'little legs' so the bottom leather does not get scuffed. The 24" is too long IMO, that one is a true tool bag. My 18 incher did not have the legs, had the holes there but that is it. No matter, I use it as a lunch bag man purse but does not look like one. When people talk smack you show'em its a Klein then they are stunned.Use this to keep my tools in my truck. Bag looks great and holds all that I need! Good quality!Great for storing tools. Will need to buy leather conditioner. A bit drynice bag sturdy but to narrow for length bought next size down also should last foreverI got this one at a good price due to a minor cosmetic flaw. It's an extremely solid and beefy satchel for my iron woodworking planes.Expensive, but worth it if you want, and can afford, the quality.Update in June 2020: Bag is still going strong, in constant use, and looking better all the time.Still very happy with it.Very sturdy. Only minor complaint is that the stitching was quite crooked (I know it’s only a tool bag, but for the price you’d expect better).Great product: very well made, attractive and a good size to handle the tools I have to carry for long distances. One of the best items I have purchased in quite a long time.
