24K Gold Hair Crimper - 1 Inch Professional Styling Iron for Wavy & Curly Looks

I bought this because I have fine hair. I didn’t think it would work as well as expected however to my surprise my roots has wonderful volume that lasts three days plus I would def recommend for someone looking for volume at their roots.I have PCOS-induced hair thinning. And have struggled with loving my hair for a while now. I bought this crimper to add volume to my roots. And it does just that with wonderful results. This is my first crimper ever.Compared to teasing and texture sprays, with this crimper, my hair holds the volume and texture longer. For context, my hair is naturally curly and wavy, and thus holds texture, but lacks volume. So I drench my hair with a heat protectant, blow dry it straight, and then crimp the roots of the lower layers. Works like a charm. I love the body it gives - it looks more natural and not helmet-y.I have also crimped all my hair with this crimper, and not just the roots, and luuuuuuved the volume and texture it created, which is wonderful for updos and braided hairstyles. I slept on it, applied scalp serums, etc. for two days from crimping without losing volume.ALSO, this creates micro crimps. Which makes the texture look more natural - that is if that is the look you are going for.I have medium-thickness hair and thus get good results at 330 degrees. The included instructions give you info about temperature recommendations. It heats up within a minute.I was inspired to buy this device after I saw the $150 waffle-iron-looking root texturizer. And watched a lot of YouTube videos before committing to a crimper. And I'm very happy that I did. As I mentioned before I have wanted to love my hair desperately for a long time now. And to think that it was just this simple has me reeling with happiness. This will help me hold a better attitude towards myself while I work at re-growing some of my hair back.It adds just about 5 extra minutes to my styling routine - but with mega payback. I was only able to use this tool about 4-5 times & was so impressed with it! Unfortunately the tool stopped heating up completely. Light comes on but it does not heat up at all making it completely useless now. I specialize in bridal hair and hot tools is always my favorite brand. I’ve never had a tool die so quickly.I bought this a few months ago on a recommendation from my hair dresser. She uses the more expensive Sam Villa version, but this one works exactly the same for significantly less money. I use it every day on my super fine hair to give it volume at the roots. It works perfect and does exactly what I needed to do. The crimps will last until you wash your hair. My reason for giving it four stars is a few items: first, it does not support dual voltage, and I travel quite a bit internationally, so this is a problem. Second, it does not have an auto shut off feature. The crimper gets very hot, and there has been more than one occasion I have accidentally left it on after going to work. An auto shut off would just be a good safety feature. Third, I find the 8 foot cord for my home use a bit cumbersome. I would prefer a slightly shorter cord. Regardless, I highly recommend this product to everyone I know with very fine, limp hair like me. I do like that it heats up fast and has multiple temp settings. I also like that that it doesn't get so hot that I am able to hold the end with the plates to press the crimp faster and deeper. I use it for only a few minutes each day, that makes a huge difference in how my hair looks.Love this! it got delivered down the street to a random neighbor but luckily, amazon included a picture of the drop and i was able to walk around and match the doormat in the picture! it heats up quickly and isn't too hot to handle. i do my own hair and my two little girls' without any problems. you can take the time to section out your hair into small small bunches to get a good crimp (so little that you can squeeze the plates together) but it's not necessary for some quick volume. my favorite is holding my ponytail before and after because the difference in volume is HUGE. i also like this because it makes my hair last longer between washing; it loses some crimp on day 2 but the added texture detracts from what otherwise would look oily, so it just looks like i have thick, straight, clean hair, even when i don't. haha.Okay, let's be honest! In 2020, these are not the trend, ever. Except, this crimper is for volume or the odd hair show stylist. I'm telling you, seriously this is it. It's gets freaking hot and crimps hair fast and efficienly with very little pressure. The plates are well made and have a simple .5 mm give in the spring so when you clamp the hair, it really grabs and doesn't make you squeeze, no white knuckles here. So buy this guy and get volume or crimp for extra security for your clip in hair, which is really important when you want to feel like a Goddess! Great value.Free Advice.LOVE this little crimping iron!I have been reacting to a lot of hair products like the powder that you apply to the roots of your hair to create volume before back combing.. and it was suggested to me that I look for one of these small crimping irons.Now that I have it, I am so SOOOOO glad!My hair is fine and the crimp really holds.I crimp under a layer of hair at the root to give the volume/ full look! It beats any other technique!This crimping iron has replaced all the products I used to use and react to, as well, I don’t spend as much time blow drying my hair with a round brush as I used to and I don’t back comb my hair anymore at all! It really fluffs up my hair and gives it a lot of body. Plus, I get people complimenting my hair all the time now. I'd say this crimper is well worth the money if you're looking for a great way to add volume and texture to your hair.Good quality for the price and did the job to crimp my hair for halloween. Small so I realized it would take forever to do my whole head(i have alot of thick hair thou) but did sections and looked great. Safe on hair did not fry or burn it!
