I got this kit for my husband because he likes to grow his own fruit/veggies but for whatever reason, is always somewhat unsuccessful when we do a regular garden in the ground.. let me tell you, this kit is amazing! These plants are THRIVING in the grow bags. The photos show one of his tomato plants and one of his jalapeño plants. I also included a photo of the tomato plant when it was just a baby so you can see how much it has thrived since (with minimal effort!)What we LOVE...- Convenient-Durable-Sturdy-Irrigation holes-Velcro section that pulls down if you decide to grow a root veggie-durable tools that are also really cute!- high quality glovesWhat we don’t love..-nothing! This kit has been great so far. Next year we plan to get a second kit and grow double the fruits/veggies !Gloves are great for digging. Bags are very durable and get set for my gardenGarden tools with potato bags my husband wanted to grow potatoes so I got this for use to use these works great there is a hole in the front where you can get the potatoes out very durable highly recommendedVery cute gift for my best friends birthday. We planted plenty of ginger and plan to harvest whenever it gets too cold. Everything very good quality would highly recommend.Really nice gardening set.I love everything about this set - the bright colors on the gardening tools are almost too pretty to get dirty, the “claws” on one hand of the gloves are perfect for digging out roots and raking the soil for planting and the bags are durable and easy to use inside gigantic porch pots filled with my annuals! You won’t be disappointed!This set is amazing, it truly comes with everything you need to start a garden except seeds and soil, not to mention how adorable the pattern is on the tools.The tools - I have never seen tools with patterns on them before just the traditional metal and this is a huge plus, they are made of a ceramic so they wont rust if I forget them outside and they get hit with water. All the tools function as expected and the sheers are very sharp and a little difficult to unlock, I'm hoping it will get easier with time but if not its a safety feature and I'm happy to struggle to open them a little if it means my toddler can't get it open.The bags - this is my first attempt at growing potatoes and so far everything is going well, the flaps open easily to reveal the bottom of the bag where all of my potatoes will hopefully be one day soon for easy collection.The Gloves - possibly my favorite thing in this set, I have never seen claw gloves before and I am in love, they make it so easy to dig a hole and drop a sees in, they are also great for digging up a weed.-The bags are poly tarpaulin material (not fabric). They tend to break down faster in the sun than the fabric variety. However, these are built pretty heavy duty, they have grommet drain holes in the bottom and sides, and they have a window in case you're using them as a potato bag. They're deep (not wide) so they're intended for deep rooted things or even a small tree.-The tools are cast aluminum, which is not my favorite, not very durable, and I don't like aluminum near food. However, these have some sort of painted or enameled finish, which seems pretty durable, seals them very well, makes them easy to clean. I am skeptical of the paint/enamel material - coming from china, does it contain lead paint? titanium dioxide?-I do think it's a good value, but I still have concerns about the materials used.
