I love the idea of these, however, they didn't work for me. Since our hands are unique to us - size, strength, shape and the way in which we move them - there is no way to tell if these will work for you without trying them. My fingers don't bend in a way that puts the blade in the proper position to cut a stem easily. It also rubs uncomfortably against a bone in my thumb. It could, very well, be a helpful and time saving tool if it it fits you like it should.I love using these for pruning leaves off my plants! Clean cuts. They do take some getting used to at first but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. Great for tomatoes & all other plants! The blade would get hung up on the protector sleeve and if you didn't have it on level it wouldn't cut.As a gardener, I often have stained nails from pruning or deadheading. This little tool looked like a good idea but I wasn't sure how it would actually pan out. Both the silicone and knit pieces fit well on my fingers. (While I have large hands, I don't have fat fingers, so average sized). It takes a little practice to get the right angle but once I did, they worked very well and I didn't experience any damage to the finger used as the stop. The protective cover is useless as is, but with a bit of a trim, it should better fit the blade. The blade sits in a curved position and the little cover is straight across. I'll just trim a crescent shape from the edge. Just haven't done that yet. I give them a sharp thumb's up.They were too small for my fingers and needed to have to apply too much pressure to cut anything bigger than a parsley leafLove it, makes things so easy to get and saves time. Loved it so much that I gave the spare one to a friend so others could know the joy as well lol (they love it too). Originally saw this a year ago online and thought it was a little be unnecessary, I regret not getting it sooner. Gardening time saved means more time for planting more stuff :-)Anyone with big hands may find that it is not very useful. If I had smaller hands it probably would have worked great. They work too. I only wish I could have gotten a smaller size. If I could have gotten a small it it probably would have been too small. The large is to large unless you put it over a glove.
