Stripping more than (8x) 8# Wires the shorter handle becomes obvious with no real leverage. Thats the only thing wrong with this. If you work with Thhn every day like i do then this is a must have.Made stripping 22 GA wire a snap. Not cheap. And not cheapo. This is a high quality stripper that strips the larger gauge wire. Hard to find at any price. But worth it for sure. Should have bought these a long time ago. What I neededI have done electrical work for over 50 years. We stripped wires the old-fashioned way, with a knife. When my young (age 50) neighbor started chiding me for my 'old ways', I thought this young whippersnapper just had to have all of his fancy tools to do every job. Not this old-timer! He finally gave me his Klein strippers to use for wiring a new panel for my pool, and I was SOLD! I will never use the old knife method again. This is quicker, more accurate and doesn't damage the underlying wire. A must have tool for anyone working on the smaller wire gauges, 10 AWG down to 18 AWG. Now I have my very own STRIPPER! YAY!I borrowed this tool a few times from an auto tech, with 30+ years exp. And I'm glad he let me. This might not crimp connectors on, but,... It gets where no other stripper gets.... Lol .. in tight locations. And what a deal for the money, this should be a 100 buck tool.Great toolMany of the smaller stripper/cutters only strip up to #10 while this one will strip #8 wire, too. Sharp cutter, compact size, great value.I know these are fab tools I had this one before and lost it I was soo glad to be able to get klein again well done U S AFor the price I was expecting better qualityWell madeThis wire stripper/cutter was the first strippers I had when apprenticing for an electrician. I used them for many, many years and ended up losing them. I'm glad to have found them again. Thank you!Works like a charm, barely any effort to strip my #14 OFC speaker wire. Perhaps 1/5 of the time I cut off a single strand, but that happens. The tool came dirty though, which isn’t a big deal but I can see why some people think it’s used.
